Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the US. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently acts as the association's president. Buss hails originally from California, was raised in an very wealthy family. Her father Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon, who was later the owner of the Lakers and other sports businesses. Her parents parted ways in 1972 which made her feel like she was neglected. At the age of 19, she began working for the family's business. The team was later renamed the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before becoming the Vice President for the Lakers. Buss was the inheritor of her share of the Lakers from her father in 2013. Five siblings of hers took over the franchise through an trust. Buss assumed the role of president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also owns Women of Wrestling, a professional promotion of wrestling with its headquarters in Los Angeles.
